A bicyclist riding for some reason on state Highway 242 in Concord on Sunday night was hit and killed by a vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A woman riding a bike died Sunday night in a crash on state Route 242 in the East Bay, authorities said.  The crash occurred north of Olivera Road in Concord around 8:50 p.m. when the driver of a GMC Yukon headed south struck the bicyclist,
