Etihad Airways will add Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to its map next year as part of a 10-destination, three-continent expansion unveiled on Monday.

Atlanta is a significant addition to ET's North American network, its fifth in the US. Gulf News cites Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways, saying that ATL is the only nonstop flight from the AUH to the US and that all US-bound flights will benefit from the new US pre-clearance facility in Abu Dhabi.

The new locations were selected due to the growing number of tourists and population from these countries in the UAE and the region
