The head of Unrwa, Philippe Lazzarini, said two recent convoys had been looted by armed gangs near the Kerem Shalom crossing and called on Israel to maintain law and order.

The decision could worsen the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as the cold, rainy winter sets in as hundreds of thousands of people living in squalid tent camps rely on food aid.
