A 71-year-old La Mesa woman who went missing five weeks ago was found dead on a freeway off-ramp, officials said Tuesday. “It is with profound sadness that the La Mesa Police Department is updating the status of our missing person case,” a La Mesa police statement said.

LA MESA (CNS) - A 71-year-old woman who went missing more than a month ago in La Mesa was found dead of unknown causes this week alongside a freeway on-ramp in the eastern San Diego County city, authorities reported Tuesday.
