Lake County offices are closed Monday and drivers are asked to stay off the roads after a state of emergency was declared in response to heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures from a winter storm. The decision was made late Sunday by Lake County commissioners after lake-effect snow blanketed parts of county.

Drone footage captured by Kelly Matter shows scenes from Lake County, located about 30 miles east of Cleveland, blanketed with snow, including a dog frolicking in the deep snow and a boat navigating a snow-lined river.

Parts of New York state faced up to five feet of snow over the last few days and more is coming across the Great Lakes region this week. CBS News weather correspondent Rob Marciano has the latest.
