The Seattle Mariners new coach went on the Foul Territory Podcast on Tuesday to talk about his role with the team following his decade-long stint with the Atlanta Braves.

Returning to the Mariners’ staff for 2025 are Manny Acta, Tony Arnerich, Trent Blank, Danny Farquhar, Perry Hill, Edgar Martinez, Kristopher Negrón, and Pete Woodworth. Acta transitions to bench coach, while Martinez takes on a new role as senior director of hitting strategy. Negrón moves to third base coach.

Carson Vitale, who has been with the Mariners since the COVID 2020 season, is leaving the organization to join the Miami Marlins.

The Seattle Mariners typically promote from within their coaching ranks, but they went outside the organization for two new hitting coaches.

The Seattle Mariners made the hiring of their new hitting coach official and made a number of other changes for the coming season.

"I'm very pleased with the coaching staff we have assembled," said Jerry Dipoto, the Mariners president of baseball operations.

The Seattle Mariners announced their full 2025 coaching staff on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reported that their crew would include a pair of new hitting coaches to assist in their efforts to rejuvenate their offense.
