Dutch technology investor Prosus NV reported on Monday an 89.5% jump in core headline earnings during its half year, driven by accelerated growth and improved profitability of its e-commerce businesses and China's Tencent .

The investment group posted a steep rise in core headline earnings, driven by strong improvements in e-commerce and Tencent performance, and is now looking to AI for further growth.

South African technology investor Naspers posted a 90.5% jump in its half-year core headline earnings, driven by accelerated growth and improved profitability of its e-commerce businesses and contribution from China's Tencent .

E-commerce revenue at the investment group rose 16% to $3 billion for the six months ended Sept. 30, while adjusted earnings swung to a profit of $181 million.
