A total of 14 teams -- seven from each conference -- make the NFL playoffs. The playoff field in each conference consists of four division winners and three wild-card teams. The Chiefs are the only team to clinch a playoff spot entering Sunday's Week 13 action. One team in each conference has been eliminated from playoff contention so far:

Quarterback Russell Wilson and the Pittsburgh Steelers offense erupted for 520 yards Sunday in their 44-38 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Paired with the Baltimore Ravens’ 24-19 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Steelers (9-3) are now the frontrunners in the AFC North, with the Ravens (8-5) trailing by two games in the loss column.

Heading into Week 13, there had been zero playoff berths clinched so far in the NFL this year, but that changed on Friday.  Thanks to their wild 19-17 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, the Kansas City Chiefs (11-1) became the first team to clinch a playoff spot in 2024.
