Delhi’s air quality has deteriorated to severe levels, forcing Noida schools to operate online until November 27. The District Inspector of Schools confirmed the suspension of physical classes due to hazardous AQI readings.

The AQI in Delhi remained in the severe category from Monday to Wednesday last week and thereafter witnessed slight improvement on Thursday and Friday. However, it deteriorated to the severe category on Saturday.

Delhi's air quality index improved from 'very poor' to 'poor' on Monday, but it remains the most polluted city in India. Other cities like Gurgaon and Ghaziabad also recorded high pollution levels due to factors like stubble burning and vehicular emissions.
