Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal penned a heartfelt post for Rishabh Pant, whose association with the franchise has come to an end.

Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant made history at the IPL 2025 auction, securing a massive INR 27 crore deal with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), making him the most expensive player in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Known for his explosive batting, Rishabh Pant created history by becoming the most expensive player in IPL history. After parting ways with Delhi Capitals, Pant was snapped up by the Lucknow Super Giants for a record Rs 27 crore. Speculation is rife that the left-hander might take over as LSG's captain.

"Goodbyes are never easy...,' Pant wrote on Instagram. Talking about his nine-year-long journey with the Delhi franchise, Pant admitted he grew in several ways while playing there.

Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal revealed that the ownership group had respected Rishabh Pant's decision to leave the franchise and promised not to bid for him in the auction. However, Delhi decided to use the Right To Match card for the wicketkeeper-batter.
