Russia has expelled a British diplomat, accusing him of spying, Russian state media reported. RIA said the diplomat worked at the British embassy in Moscow, adding that the Russian Foreign Ministry had summoned the British ambassador.

A Russian court has confirmed a British man who was allegedly fighting for Ukraine has been captured in Russia's Kursk region. Video had been circulating online in recent days showing a man dressed in military clothing who identifies himself as James Scott Rhys Anderson, 22, and says he formerly served in the British Army.

Reports say the Russian military has captured a Briton fighting with Ukrainian troops who have occupied part of Russia’s Kursk region.
