Mason Marchment scored the go-ahead goal just past the midpoint of the third period and the Dallas Stars went on to defeat the visiting Winnipeg Jets 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.

With Winnipeg defenceman Josh Morrissey trying to check him, Marchment spun around to his backhand to whip a shot past a surprised goalie Connor Hellebuyck to give the Stars a 2-1 lead with seven minutes left in the game.

In a low-scoring affair, Oettinger allowed just one goal on 27 shots to lead Dallas to a 3-1 victory over Winnipeg.
