Tehran reserves the right to react Israeli airstrikes last month on Iran but also bears in mind other developments in the region, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday.

An Israeli airstrike hit 20 sites in southern Lebanon and central Beirut. The strikes preceded talks on a US-mediated ceasefire with Hezbollah, with optimism expressed by officials ahead of a vote by Israel's security cabinet.

Israel launched a new wave of extensive airstrikes that hit the area of Tayouneh on the outskirts of Beirut's southern suburbs, on Tuesday. The airstrikes come ahead of an expected cease-fire to end the 13-month war between Israel and Hezbollah.
