Spotify is getting support for Google’s Gemini Extensions, which will allow users to search for and play music using the generative AI assistant with natural language requests. The extension was first spotted in the code of the Google app in June, and now it’s rolling out to compatible Android devices, as reported by 9to5Google.

Google has started rolling out its Spotify extension for Gemini users on Android. Under the "Play & Search" moniker, users can ask Gemini to discover music based on artist, song title, playlist, or lyrics.

Spotify is rolling out a new page in its app called "Recents." The page will save whatever you listened to over the last 90 days.

The Recents tab replaces the old "Listening History" tab. It shows a list of the music, playlists, podcasts, and audiobooks you've listened to in chronological order. Listening history is stored up to 90 days and is available to everyone, whether they have a free or premium account.

Spotify is currently the most popular music streaming platform in the world. The service is constantly getting UI tweaks and new features, some better received than others. In a recent development, Spotify is making it easier to revisit content thanks to a new Recents tab that includes a 90-day history.
