A case of active tuberculosis was confirmed at a high school south of the Twin Cities, but officials said there is "no further risk of exposure at the school."

An active case of tuberculosis (TB) has been diagnosed in an individual at Lakeville South High School, according to local officials. In an email to district families on Monday, Dakota County Public Health said,

School officials said only a "small group" was in close contact with the individual who was diagnosed with tuberculosis.

To our north in Lakeville, the school district has confirmed an active case of tuberculosis at the South High School.
